About Gusttavo Lima
Gusttavo Lima, who's original name is Nivaldo Batista Lima, was born on September 3, 1989, in Presidente Olegário, Minas Gerais, Brazil, but his family soon moved to Goiânia, Goiás. He liked music since a very young age, he did not know but that would change his life forever. The first time he got the public's attetion was at the age of 9 when he performed in a choir singing "é o amor" and showed his vocal talent. This incentivated him to start his career, singing with2 brothers initially, then in a duo and finally starting his solo journey.
After releasing his single "Balada (Tchê Tchê rere)" Gusttavo Lima's career went straight up and became a prominent figure in the sertanejo music style. This sudden fame came after year of non-stop hard work, including his successful album 2009 and another live album in 2010. This combined with his charismatic figure on and out of the stage increased a lot his audience.
After his fame reached the top he managed to maintain it by launching albuns like "Buteco do Gusttavo Lima" and making partnerships with loads of other brazilian artists, he also got the nickname "O Embaixador" (The Embassdor). Although the music could already give him a lot of money and take most part of his time he decided to open an enterprise of music management called "Balada Eventos" (Disco Events) in 2015.
He continued to catch new audience and evolving as a person and artist, he not only reached national audience but also people from all over the world would listen to him. When he reached 17 bilion streams Gusttavo received a global award as a symbol of endurance. He also demonstrated, along his career, that he never forgot his roots, even when adapting to new trends. Nivaldo Batista Lima, who's better know for his artist name Gusttavo Lima, was born on September 3, 1989, in Presidente Olegário, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Since he was young he always demostrated a talent for music. At the age of 7 he had a musical tri called "Remelexo" with his two brothers William and Marcelo. He also sang in choirs, which helped him to evolve his perfomance and group singing abilities. Although he faced many struggles that never stopped him from listening to Brazilian country (sertanejo). At 18 yearsold he started his solo career.
In 2009, Gusttavo Lima released his debut album "Revelação", the album included songs that helped him to gain some attetion in the past. "Inventor de Amores" was a song that also helped him to get a little of recognizement his breakthrough just really came in 2011 with the release of the album "Gusttavo Lima e Você", recorded in the "Festa Nacional do Milho" (national corn party).That album gave him the idea to write the music "Balada", after the absolute massive success of the music his fame became nacional and everyone knew how to sing at least the chorus.
Gusttavo Lima first embarked on a international turnê during the release of the album "Ao vivo em São Paulo" which included the single "Gatinha assanhada", during this period he was not only popular in Brazil, but internationally, all because of his original sertanejo rythms. In 20214 Guttavo released "Do Outro Lado da Moeda" and two years later he released "50/50", which gave him more notoriety for mixing love songs and dance tracks, during this time he also recorded albuns for the buteco (a small bar) series "Buteco do Gusttavo Lima".
Until today Gusttavo Lima is still active and still makes performance acclaimed by the public. In 2021 he released "O embaixador" which is a legacy album that pinned his highnas an artist. In 2023 he celebrated 15 years of career and howadays he keeps releasing new albums and is still a top Brazil artist. His latest moves include concerts around the country and the release of .a single called "Proibido Terminar"
