Péricles Aparecido Fonseca de Faria, more widely known as Péricles, was Born in Santo André, São Paulo, on July 22, 1969. He is a singer, composer, and instrumentalist that got his initial fame from being part of the group Exaltasamba, he and the group made a revolution in the samba industry with their creativity and originality.
However, in 2012 he left the group and decided to continue in a solo career and after releasing albums like “Sensações”, he got the attention of the people. He did it again later with the release of another album called “Em Sua Direção” which earned him a Latin Grammy for best Samba/pagode album.
Péricles’s voice tone, combined with his fusion of different musical types is one of the things that makes him most recognized between his public. His ability to connect with his fans during shows and performances is another factor that helped him to reach such a devoted audience inside and outside of the country.
Beyond his awards and musician life, Péricles is also known for being charismatic out of stage, participating in social events and being very present in his social medias, principally YouTube, where he has millions of supporters

Péricles Aparecido Fonseca de Faria was born on June 22, 1969 in Santo André, São Paulo, Brazil. As a teenager, he would often participate in samba circles and later on he created the famous group Exaltasamba.
During the end of the 1980’s, the 1990’s and the 2000’s, Péricles and the Exaltasamba were doing a lot of success with their albums, getting international attention. They also received many awards and influenced a lot the pagode industry.
2012 – 2015
In February 2012, Péricles left Exaltasamba and began his solo career, and to make that clear he released the album “Sensações”. In 2015 he released another album called “Feito Para Durar”, continuing with his successful solo path.
In 2018, Péricles launched the album “Em Sua Direção” and created his own production company “Farias Produções”, as a way to be more in control of his own career. Also in 2018 he became part of the samba school Mangueira and created his youtube channel, “Canal do Periclão” which connected him to the fans.
Throughout the years he remained a very important figure in samba/pagode, continuing to make new albums. His legacy is made of charisma and the innovation that he brought to pagode and samba during his life.
